Code execution via FBX buffer overrun
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Autodesk FBX Review 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted FBX file. The FBX parser writes crafted file data past the end of an allocated buffer, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file and runs code in the current process context.
