Code execution via crafted file parsing
Published Jul 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Autodesk Design Review 2018, 2017, 2013, 2012, and 2011 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted files. The parser reads beyond allocated memory while processing TIFF, TIF, PICT, TGA, or DWF data. Exploitation requires a victim to open a malicious file, and code runs in the current process context.
