CVE-2021-27034

Arbitrary code execution via image parser overflow

Published Jul 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Heap-based buffer overflow in Autodesk Design Review 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2018 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted files. The image parser mishandles size or bounds data while processing PICT, PCX, RCL or TIFF input, allowing a heap overwrite. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious file, after which code runs in the application process context.
