CVE-2021-27003Network attack vector

Unauthorized UI actions via frameable management pages

Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Clickjacking in NetApp Clustered Data ONTAP before 9.5P18, 9.6P15, 9.7P14, 9.8P5, and 9.9.1 allows remote attackers to alter UI-driven actions. The System Manager web service returns pages without the X-Frame-Options header, allowing a hostile site to frame its interface. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content and interact with the framed interface; the reported consequence is unauthorized modification through that UI, not data disclosure or service interruption.
