Improper access control in NetApp ONTAP 9.x allows local users with privileged access to modify Compliance-mode WORM data before retention expires. NetApp has not published the affected code path or the operation that bypasses retention enforcement. Exploitation requires authenticated privileged local access and affects integrity only, permitting early alteration of protected records.
