Denial of service in Microsoft Windows DNS Server allows remote attackers to interrupt DNS service through crafted network requests. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected parser, request form, or incorrect operation performed on the crafted input. The target must run an affected Windows Server build with the DNS Server role enabled; the documented consequence is availability loss only.
