Elevation of privilege in the Windows App-V Overlay Filter allows local users with low privileges to gain elevated Windows privileges. Microsoft has not published the vulnerable function, the input reaching it, or the incorrect operation performed by the overlay filter. Successful exploitation requires local access and existing low privileges and grants control over data and service operation within the same security authority.
