Elevated code execution via service DLL hijacking
Published Sep 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
DLL hijacking in Panda Agent 1.16.11 and earlier allows local users to gain elevated code execution in Adaptive Defense 360. The Agent service resolves a crafted library through an uncontrolled DLL search path, loading attacker-supplied code under its elevated account. Exploitation requires local placement of the DLL and a service start, enabling repeated privileged execution and persistence.
