Unauthenticated BMC network reconfiguration via unchecked REST request
Published Oct 24, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
Broken access control in spx_restservice on Lanner IAC-AST2500A firmware 1.10.0 allows remote attackers to alter BMC network settings. The First_network_func handler applies attacker-supplied DNS server or gateway values without enforcing authentication. Network access to the BMC web application is sufficient, and changed routing or name-resolution settings can interrupt remote management.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
