CVE-2021-26725Network attack vector

Authenticated protected-file read via timezone path traversal

Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Path traversal in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC 20.0.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read protected system files through the web GUI. The timezone-change handler copies attacker-selected paths to an unintended location, enabling retrieval of files outside the permitted directory. Access requires an authenticated administrator; the vendor reports no need for user interaction and notes that such administrators already have console access.
