Administrator command execution via date or hostname changes
Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
OS command injection in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC 20.0.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The management interface passes attacker-controlled date or hostname values into local OS command execution without adequately neutralizing command syntax. Administrator access to the management web GUI is required; successful injection enables arbitrary local commands and subsequent root privilege escalation.
