Browser script execution via unescaped node parameter
Published Feb 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
XSS in Emoncms 10.2.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through the node parameter. Modules/input/Views/schedule.php returns the node value without neutralizing quote characters, so crafted input escapes its JavaScript string context. No authentication is required, but a victim must open the crafted URL; execution is confined to the Emoncms site's browser origin.
