Script execution via unescaped login redirect parameter
Published Feb 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in the Redwood Report2Web 4.3.4.5 and 4.5.3 login panel allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript via a crafted URL. The signIn.do handler places the urll parameter into login-page output without neutralizing executable markup. A user must follow the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the Report2Web origin and can read or alter page-accessible session data.
