SSRF via SVG external entity processing
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SSRF in OX App Suite before 7.10.3-rev4 and 7.10.4 before 7.10.4-rev4 allows remote authenticated users to trigger server requests. The imageconverter follows external entity references in SVG content even when a .png suffix disguises the file type. Exploitation requires a compromised image to enter a user's workflow and be opened, enabling file-access tracking or resource exhaustion.
