Authenticated root command execution via web interface
Published Feb 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in ClearPass Policy Manager before 6.9.5, 6.8.8-HF1, or 6.7.14-HF1 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. HPE identifies the web-based management interface as the locus but has not disclosed the affected endpoint, parameter, or unsafe command-building operation. Administrative authentication is required; successful exploitation executes arbitrary commands as root and completely compromises the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
