CVE-2021-26606Network attack vector

Remote code execution via certificate-parsing buffer overflow

Published Aug 6, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Buffer overflow in Dream Security MagicLine4NX 1.0.0.17 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via HTTP requests. The certificate-login parser processes attacker-controlled authorization-certificate information without adequate bounds validation, overflowing a buffer. An unauthenticated request to the running client is sufficient, and successful exploitation executes code on the endpoint.
