Database compromise via unsanitized groups parameter
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in include/findusers.php in ImpressCMS before 1.4.3 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data. The script passes the unsanitized groups POST value to icms_member_Handler::getUserCountByGroupLink() and getUsersByGroupLink(), which construct SQL queries from that argument. No authentication or user interaction is required; stacked queries permit administrator-account creation and arbitrary PHP execution.
