Unauthenticated server information disclosure via api-aa response
Published Feb 23, 2021 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Information disclosure in Directus 8.x through 8.8.1 allows remote attackers to read server software details through the api-aa response. The connection flow automatically calls api-aa, which returns the Directus and PHP versions and the database management system name without suppressing those details. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed data is limited to software and database identification; the affected branch was unsupported when assigned.
