CVE-2021-26392

Secure OS code execution via unchecked TA size

Published Nov 9, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in LoadModule in AMD Ryzen Embedded processors allows local users with privileges to execute secure OS/kernel code. LoadModule accepts a malicious Trusted Application without checking its size, causing an out-of-bounds write during module loading. Local low-privileged access and the ability to load a malicious TA are required; successful exploitation executes code in the secure OS/kernel context.
