Resource exhaustion in AMD Ryzen and Athlon Series firmware allows local users to interrupt platform operation through malformed SMI commands. The SMI handler accepts malformed command data and builds a corrupted SMI Trigger Info structure that drives out-of-bounds reads and writes. Exploitation requires high privileges and local execution; triggering the SMI can exhaust platform resources, while published evidence does not establish code execution.
