CVE-2021-26341Public exploit

Local data leakage via straight-line speculation

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in affected AMD processors allows local users to infer sensitive data through transient execution after direct branches. When the branch target buffer lacks a prediction for an unconditional direct branch, the processor transiently executes following instructions and leaves measurable cache activity. Exploitation requires local low-privileged execution and a suitable code gadget; the reported consequence is data leakage without integrity or availability impact.
