Local data leakage via transient floating-point results

Floating-point value injection in supported AMD CPUs allows local users to leak data through speculative execution with incorrect results. A denormal floating-point operation first produces an incorrect transient result that dependent instructions consume before a microcode assist clears the pipeline and reexecutes the operation correctly. Exploitation requires control of floating-point operands and a vulnerable software gadget that exposes the transient result through an observable microarchitectural trace.
