Controller restart via unauthenticated crafted script
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Missing authentication in Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control System Controllers allows attackers to force a controller restart. Public advisories do not identify the controller interface or script-processing locus that accepts the crafted script without authentication. All versions are affected; exploitation requires adjacent-network access and interrupts controller availability until the restart completes.
