Stored script execution via saved user information
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester CASAP Automated Enrollment System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via saved user information. The save_user.php endpoint stores attacker-supplied user information that later renders as active HTML or script without effective output neutralization. No authentication is required to submit the payload, but another user must view the stored record; script execution is limited to that viewer's browser context.
