Stored XSS via unsanitized student parameters
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester CASAP Automated Enrollment System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script via student parameters. The edit_stud.php student-information parameters are stored and later rendered without output encoding, allowing attacker-supplied HTML or script to execute in a victim's browser. Exploitation requires a remote attacker to submit crafted student data and a user to view the affected page; the demonstrated impact is client-side script execution and data access in that user's session.
