Document modification via missing request validation
Published Mar 18, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in SeedDMS 5.1.x allows remote attackers to edit documents through out.EditDocument.php. The endpoint accepts a state-changing document-edit submission without verifying a request-specific anti-CSRF token, so a cross-origin form is processed under the victim's session. Exploitation requires an authenticated user with document-edit rights to visit attacker-controlled content; the resulting action modifies document data with that user's privileges.
