Service crash via heap use after free
Published Jun 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in JerryScript 2.4.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted JavaScript input. The ecma_is_lexical_environment function in ecma-helpers.c accesses a heap object after it has been released while checking lexical-environment state. Exploitation requires a victim process to evaluate attacker-controlled script, and the documented impact is service interruption without confidentiality or integrity loss.
