Authenticated command execution via crafted kdbg arguments
Published Jul 9, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
OS command injection in the Fortinet FortiAP console 6.4.1 through 6.4.5 and 6.2.4 through 6.2.5 allows local users to execute unauthorized commands. The hidden kdbg CLI command fails to neutralize OS-command special elements in crafted arguments before invoking command execution. Authenticated console access is required, and successful exploitation permits commands outside the user's authorized CLI scope.
