CVE-2021-26104Public exploit

Root command execution via unsanitized CLI exports

Published Apr 6, 2022 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

OS command injection in Fortinet FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiPortal allows local users to execute shell commands as root. The CLI's diagnose system export commands pass unsanitized FTP or SFTP transfer parameters, including filenames, into root-run shell scripts. A local authenticated account with the System Settings CLI privilege can inject shell separators and open an interactive root shell.
