Cryptographic flaws in Fortinet FortiMail 6.4.0 through 6.4.4 and 6.2.0 through 6.2.6 allow remote authenticated users to escalate privileges. The session manager uses a flawed encryption construction for session cookies, allowing an existing cookie's contents to be revealed, altered, or forged. Exploitation requires possession of a valid cookie; forged session data can grant higher privileges and compromise protected mail-system functions.
