Directory-path disclosure via invalid-filename error
Published Apr 14, 2021 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Information disclosure in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center allows remote authenticated users to obtain the application data directory path. The AttachTemporaryFile REST resource in the Jira importers plugin returns the full application data directory path in an error message when it processes an invalid filename. An authenticated REST request is required; exposure is limited to the path on versions before 8.5.12, 8.6.0 through 8.13.3, and 8.14.0 through 8.15.0.
