Unauthenticated protected-resource access via makeRequest proxy
Published Mar 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Broken authentication in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center before 8.13.3 and in 8.14.0 allows remote attackers to reach app-linked resources. The makeRequest gadget resource proxies requests to an application-link origin without preserving the behind-the-firewall access restriction. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposure is limited to resources reachable through a configured application link.
