Memory corruption in ACDSee Photo Studio Professional 2021 14.0 build 1721 allows attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted BMP image. The IDE_ACDStd.apl plug-in processes image data with a rep movs copy at IDE_ACDStd!zlibVersion+0x4e5e and writes beyond the destination boundary. A user must open the file in the desktop application; the demonstrated result is an exploitable write access violation, while code execution has not been publicly demonstrated.
