Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized contact rendering
Published Dec 29, 2021 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in the contacts field of ifme 7.22.0 through 7.31.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another browser. The renderContent utility passes stored contact strings directly to react-render-html without sanitization, so iframe-delivered markup is interpreted as active content. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to save the payload and interaction that loads the crafted contact, placing browser-accessible data and actions at risk.
