CVE-2021-25982Network attack vector

Session-cookie theft via unescaped forum search

Published Nov 16, 2021 · Updated Apr 30, 2025

Reflected XSS in Darwin Factor 1.3.5 through 1.8.30 allows remote attackers to steal session cookies through a crafted forum search URL. The forum topic-list.vue component places the URL search parameter into rendered page content without neutralizing executable markup. No authentication is required, but a victim must open the crafted URL for JavaScript to run in the victim's browser and expose that browser session.
