Account takeover via orphaned password reset links
Published Sep 29, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Weak password recovery in SalesAgility SuiteCRM 7.1.7 through 7.10.31 and 7.11 through 7.11.20 allows attackers to take over accounts. The password-reset workflow leaves an old link valid after its user record is deleted and resolves it against a later account that reuses the same user ID. Exploitation requires possession of the stale link and creation of a new account with that reused ID; using the link resets the new account password.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
