Stored script execution via unvalidated node labels
Published May 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in affected OpenNMS Horizon and Meridian releases allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a requisition node label. The createRequisitionedNode() function stores node-label input without validation, and affected requisition views render the value without escaping. A low-privileged account can plant the payload, but execution requires another user to view the affected interface, exposing that user's browser session to data access or modification.
