Database disclosure via unsanitized login username
Published Apr 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Blind time-based SQL injection in Void Aural Rec Monitor 9.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to read database contents through crafted HTTP requests. The svc-login.php authentication handler places the untrusted param1 username value into repeated MySQL SELECT queries, allowing injected sleep() expressions to control response time. No authentication is required; timing differences permit bitwise inference of every table and record, while the tested PHP and MySQL stack prevented stacked-query command execution.
