Victim-browser script execution via stored setText input
Published Apr 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Magnolia CMS 6.1.3 through 6.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through the setText parameter. The /magnoliaAuthor/.magnolia/ endpoint stores the parameter without neutralizing active script content before rendering it. Low-privileged access and a victim who views the saved content are required, exposing browser-accessible data and page content.
