Administrator session compromise via unescaped videoName
Published Nov 1, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Reflected XSS in AVideo 10.0 and earlier and YouPHPTube 7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script via videoName. The view/videosList.php page copies the videoName value into a JavaScript URL string with addslashes but without context-appropriate encoding. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted URL; injected script can steal that administrator's session cookie or act within the session.
