Administrator code execution via unrestricted PHP file write
Published Nov 1, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Code injection in AVideo 10.0 and earlier and YouPHPTube 7.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. locale/save.php lowercases the flag POST value to form a PHP filename, then writes the code POST value into that executable file without restricting its contents or type. Administrator privileges are required; requesting the created PHP file executes the supplied code with the web server account's permissions.
