Database disclosure via unsanitized catName query
Published Nov 1, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
SQL injection in AVideo 10.0 and earlier and YouPHPTube 7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to read database data via catName. The getVideo() function embeds $_GET['catName'] directly in two SQL predicates after only removing single quotes, so an encoded backslash escapes the query delimiter. No authentication is required; a crafted /feed/ request can UNION-select sensitive rows, including application password hashes, into the response.
