Authenticated code execution via PHP settings injection
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Code injection in pcmt superMicro-CMS 3.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through setup.php's font_type input. setup.php interpolates the unfiltered POST value into a PHP define statement and overwrites inc/settings.php with the generated content. Administrator access to the management backend is required, and successful injection executes attacker-supplied PHP in the web server context.
