Information disclosure via unchecked LLDP-MED length
Published May 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Moxa VPort 06EC-2V firmware 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose data via a crafted LLDP packet. The userdisk/vport_lldpd parser uses a fixed loop count for LLDP-MED TLV data without checking the declared length against available bytes. The packet must reach the device's LLDP service; the over-read exposes adjacent memory and can also interrupt the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
