Stored XSS via unsanitized article fields
Published Dec 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in the Management column of Taocms 2.5Beta5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The article-save handler at /admin/admin.php stores unsanitized script markup supplied in the name and slug fields and later renders it as page content. A column-administrator account is required to submit the payload, and execution requires another user to view the stored content.
