CVE-2021-25701

Local denial of service via fUSBHub IOCTL handling

Published Jul 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Denial of service in Teradici PCoIP Software Client before 21.07.0 allows local users to interrupt system availability through fUSBHub IOCTLs. The fUSBHub driver mishandles object management while processing multiple IOCTL operations, failing to release resources after their effective lifetime. Local access and low privileges are required; published sources report only availability loss and do not specify whether the result is a hang or crash.
