Authenticated code execution via empty-key configuration injection
Published Jan 29, 2021 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Code injection in Apache Druid 0.20.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through crafted JSON requests. Jackson binds an attacker-controlled empty JSON key to JavaScriptConfig, enabling JavaScriptDimFilter to run its supplied function despite the server setting. Access to an authenticated Druid request interface is required, and execution occurs with the privileges of the Druid server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
