Script execution via improperly validated SearchKeyword deeplink
Published Dec 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Samsung Internet before 16.0.2 allows attackers to execute script code through a SearchKeyword deeplink. The deeplink handler fails to verify its caller or validate SearchKeyword input, so an untrusted application can supply script code for browser execution. Exploitation requires an untrusted application to invoke the affected deeplink on the Android device, with impact confined to script execution in Samsung Internet.
