System-UID file write via Bluetooth path traversal
Published Oct 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in FactoryAirCommandManager on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Oct-2021 Release 1 allows attackers to write files via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth remote socket passes an attacker-controlled path to file-writing logic without restricting it to the intended directory. Bluetooth proximity, low privileges, and user interaction are required; resulting files carry the system UID.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
