Improper exception handling in Samsung Mobile Devices SystemUI before SMR Oct-2021 Release 1 allows local users to cause permanent denial of service. SystemUI fails to handle an exceptional multi_sim_bar_show_on_qspanel setting value, causing a crash that leaves the device unusable. The attack requires shell privileges, and recovery requires a factory reset that erases device state.
